PostSubject: How to Choose Colors to Flatter Your Skin Tone   Fri Mar 27, 2009 11:45 am

Determine Your Skin Tone

Step1

Decide which season most accurately describes your complexion. People - and skin tones - can be divided into "seasons," depending on their skin tone.

Step2

"Winter" complexions have blue or pink undertones. Skin can be pale white, yellowish-olive, or dark. Winter people are generally brunettes, with deeply colored eyes. Many Asians and African Americans fall into this category.

Step3

"Summer" complexions, like winter complexions, have blue or pink undertones. Skin is pale and pink. Summers are often natural blondes or brunettes with pale eyes.

Step4

"Autumn": Autumn complexions have golden undertones. Many redheads and brunettes with golden brown eyes fall into this category.

Step5

"Spring": Spring complexions have golden undertones and are usually creamy white or peach. Spring people generally have straw-colored or strawberry red hair, freckles, rosy cheeks, and blue or green eyes.

Choose Clothes to Flatter Your Skin Tone

Step1

"Winter": Winters should wear colors that are sharp, stark and clear. White, black, navy blue, red and shocking pink all go well with winter complexions. For lighter colors, wear icy tones rather than pastels. Avoid subdued tones like beige, orange and gold.

Step2

"Summer": Summers should choose pastels and soft neutrals with rose and blue undertones. Lavender, plum, rose-brown and soft blue suit summers well while black and orange do not.

Step3

"Autumn": Autumns should select colors with golden undertones, like camel, beige, orange, gold and dark brown. Avoid colors with blue tones, like navy.

Step4

"Spring": Springs can wear warm colors like camel, peach, golden yellow and golden brown. Avoid dark, dull colors.

The easiest way to balance a bottom-heavy figure is to choose a dress that skims over the lower half of the body. Fuller skirts, like this Donna Ricco dress, disguise heavy hips, while showing off the waist. A strapless silhouette -- which accents a trim upper body -- is very flattering for bottom-heavy figures.

Don't worry: you don't have to look matronly to cover up flabby arms. The trick is to keep the sexy element with one of the pretty sleeves that are popular right now like lantern sleeves, puff sleeves, kimono or bracelet sleeves. This bracelet-sleeve bolero jacket from Donna Ricco adds a fresh print to a fitted black dress.

The Perfect Haircut
This Haircut Looks Great on Almost Every Face Shape

The beauty editors at Allure magazine recently confessed their "untold secrets." One of my favorites was their claim to the perfect haircut. They're right, this IS the most flattering haircut on almost every face type: a little shaggy and layered. How to get it? Here are some tips:

* Layer The key is not too layer too much in back. The best layers are left to the front and are meant to frame the face, but never go above the eye on short hair or above earlobes on long hair.
* Don't go too long Don't grow your hair more than a few inches below the collarbone. According to Allure's editors, few women over age 18 can get away with hair that falls below their breasts. (Sorry Gwyneth).
* Go for the "v-shape cut" Actually, this is my tip, not Allure's. If you have long hair, get your hair cut in the back in a v-shape. It allows for extra length without leaving you looking too "high school," plus it's a classic look for long hair that's universally considered sexy.

It is not as easy as you may think, when it comes to choosing your lip stick.

Some times you will find a killer shade of lip stick on a celebrity or a model and you get it for the extreme price it is sold at. Now when you come home and apply the shade on your lips, you realize that it is not enhancing your complexion at all. That particular lip stick turned out to be a total waste of money for you.

You can avoid this with the help of a good cosmetic salon where they will help you in finding the right choice for you. Let them work for you and offer you shades. Try them out until you find the right shade for you. This way you will not be losing any thing.

Lip Plumper Tips

Every woman dreams of sexy full lips, at least once in a while in their life. There are some options for you to achieve this either by implanting collagen or tattooing some out lines around your lips. But none of those will give you satisfactory results. And there are much more simpler, practical and cheaper alternatives available to get you the same results. You can follow the four steps given below and obtain sexy full lips.

Step one: Lip balm babe

First step is to use lots of lip balm on your lip. This will avoid your lips becoming cracked or frayed. This is really important in the cold winter months to care more on your lips. You will lose moisture from your lips much faster in winter. Wait for a while to get the lip balm to sink in to the lips. If you do not let the lip balm to sink in, then the lip liner will not work properly.

Step two: Line and define

Outline your lips, right around your lips, with the help of a really natural lip liner. If the line gets uneven any where, wipe it out and do it over again. If you leave an uneven line people will notice it. Once you have the out line done clearly, fill all of your lips with the same color.

Step three: Now add some shine!

Now is the turn of lip gloss; to add some glamour!! Choose a natural lip gloss. Never choose any lip stick which is too dark or too light for your lips. Even if lip gloss looks better on your lips, they do not last like lip stick. You need to have some lip gloss handy, to apply during the day.

Step four: Plump them up

Now this last part is a bit difficult to do. But it is not too hard to do either. Apply a white shimmery eye shadow or eye brow high lighter right in the centre of your lips. You need to do it real carefully and blend it in. The coloring has to be natural and the shade should be lighter where your mouth opens. This will make your lips look fuller and beautiful.

Your dreams will never end. People always dream of some thing which they do not have. So until you start dreaming of your next big one, show your new sexy lips off!!

Enjoy all the admiration which comes your way as well!!
